Nepenthe Vessel
A pair of hand-cast Nepenthes earrings created from two pitcher plant parents: Nepenthes jamban and Nepenthes veitchii. The rounded, vessel-like pitcher of N. jamban is crossed with the broad, flared peristome of N. veitchii, forming a suspended hybrid structure. Each earring combines metal with a silver-tone finish and a sterling silver hook.
The name joins nepenthe—the sorrow-softening substance of classical literature—with vessel, a form made to receive and hold. Nepenthe Vessel does not erase memory. It treats emotion as something that can be carried, understood, and transformed until its weight begins to change.
Each pair belongs to the Hybridxlab Hybrid Codex archive and comes with a card.
